How to animate characters with the Face MoCap Headrig?

The Face MoCap Headrig works with smartphones to capture your face expressions and then apply the face animation to your 3D characters. There are many application of the headrig such as : - 3D character animation for cinematic or game development in Unreal Engine, Blender, Maya, Unity,... - Film & VFX for digital doubles, CGI enhancement, virtual production. - Content Creation for Virtual YouTubers (VTubers) and AR/VR for live character animation. - Training & Simulation where facial character animation can be required. If your use case is 3D character animation in Unreal Engine, we suggest using the LiveLink app to record your face animation while capturing your body animation with an app like Move One (MoveAI) or QuickMagic. And then simply combine face animation with body animation to your 3D character in Unreal Engine. What's in the box, and how to assemble it?

The headrig is quick to assemble, all components and tools are provided, with a simple setup guide video below. Attach your smartphone, adjust for comfort, and start capturing!
Do I need additional equipment to capture body motion?

Body motion capture may require additional equipment, such as a body suit, depending on your software. Our headrig focuses on facial capture but can be used alongside other mocap gear. We recommend using app like Move One (MoveAI) for body animation alongside Cascadeur for Mocap Cleanup. However, if your budget allows it, we'd suggest going for a Rokoko Smartsuit Pro II for body animation.
Can I use the headrig for other types of content creation, such as live streaming or VR?

Absolutely. The headrig is versatile and can be used in various digital environments that support motion tracking and facial expression capture.
Do you ship globally, and how much does it cost?

Yes! We provide global shipping from our London office via major shipping companies such as DPD, DHL, UPS, and FedEx. The shipping fee is calculated based on your address alongside the weight and number of items being shipped. You will receive an email with a tracking number once your order has been shipped (i.e. when your order has left our London office). Please be aware that for deliveries outside the UK, customs fees may apply. We recommend checking with your local authorities to ensure a smooth delivery process when your order arrives in your country. Kindly note that these potential customs fees are not included in the price displayed on our shop webpage, and FaceMotionCapture does not cover these duties and fees. If you would like to verify the fee amount, the tariff code/HS code for the Headrig is 3926.90. Shipping is calculated at checkout, however if you have issues completing your order, contact us at contact@facemotioncapture.com and we'll make sure to help you as best as we can.
